After years of promises and months of teasing, Ricoh has finally unveiled the Pentax K-1, a 36.4MP full-frame DSLR built around the K lens mount. It becomes the only conventional DSLR to offer a full frame sensor with image stabilization. The camera is extensively sealed and features magnesium alloy construction.
Why is Pentax not popular?
There is no new lens mount, no lens range, and no clear development path. Whereas Sony, Nikon, and Canon have, at least in part, laid out their future, Pentax remains silent.
